Prepare the Way

On Sunday, December 6, I preached on Mark 1:1-8 and the call to dream together to prepare a way for peace. I hope you enjoy the sermon and find it meaningful for this week of Advent.
Mark 1:1-8 (New Revised Standard Version)
The beginning of the good news of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
As it is written in the prophet Isaiah,
“See, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way; the voice of one crying out in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight,’”
John the baptizer appeared in the wilderness, proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. And people from the whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem were going out to him, and were baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins. Now John was clothed with camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. He proclaimed, “The one who is more powerful than I is coming after me; I am not worthy to stoop down and untie the thong of his sandals. I have baptized you with water; but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
I was a big fan of the Code 11.59 Tourbillon Openworked for Only Watch 2019, which sold for link one million Swiss francs, and it's nice to see some of the aesthetic codes (pun very much link intended) of the movement in that watch link carry over to today's release.

I have kept some watches. Some are personal watches I bought from collaborative projects through the Armoury, other groups I'm a part of, or worked personally with the watchmaker on. I'm also keeping some vintage watches, like old chronographs that wouldn't make much link sense in the auction, and the things that I wear regularly. But I'm still letting go of about 80 percent of link what link I own.
We started our tour with the link assembly of Grand Seiko's Spring Drive and quartz watches. While we weren't able link to enter the clean room or see much of the manufacturing up close, Grand Seiko does show live video feeds of their watchmakers and link assembly team at work, which you can see below.
